Bill Davidson to attend Harley-Davidson Asia Pacific H.O.G. Convention 2015
Date: 11 Sep 2015
Bill Davidson, vice president
of the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, USA and great-grandson of company
co-founder, William A. Davidson will attend the first ever Asia Pacific H.O.G.
(Harley Owners Group) Convention 2015 in Bali, Indonesia, Nov. 4 to 7.
“Hosting a H.O.G. convention in Bali, our
first in the Asia Pacific region, is exciting for the company and our H.O.G.
members,” said Davidson, adding that “I can’t wait to join them in Bali for
this historic, and fun, experience.”
In addition to meeting
Davidson, participants can look forward to an exclusive showcase of
Harley-Davidson’s new 2016 motorcycle model range, on display for the first
time in Southeast Asia following its launch in the USA in September. They will
also be treated to high-energy beachfront entertainment every evening,
featuring local and international artistes against the panoramic Kuta Beach
backdrop.
The four-day convention will,
for the first time, incorporate H.E.A.T (H.O.G. Enthusiasts Adventure
Training), a special training developed for members to share case studies and
best practices, allowing them to gain invaluable skills on how to run chapters
more effectively and plan memorable rides. The training will be delivered in
English, Japanese and Mandarin.
Marc McAllister, vice president and managing
director, Asia Pacific at Harley-Davidson, said, “Asia Pacific is one of our
most important markets with more than 80,000 H.O.G. members across 24
countries. By providing a platform for our members, dealers and chapters from
around the region to interact and exchange insights in one place, the upcoming
H.O.G. Convention is a testament to our philosophy of being a customer-led
company.
“Asia is perfect for the sport of motorcycling
– combining city riding with expansive highways and scenic countryside. We
expect with so many regional participants coming together for this convention
for the first time, riders will form greater connections and uncover new riding
possibilities in the region, allowing riders to fulfil dreams of personal
freedom.”
Participants of the H.O.G.
Convention 2015 who purchase one of its training packages will have a chance to
enter a skills competition to win signed Harley-Davidson memorabilia by Bill
Davidson, as well as a trip for two to Milwaukee, USA – home of
Harley-Davidson. The trip will include two premium economy class tickets, two
nights in a Milwaukee hotel and a visit to the Harley-Davidson Museum.
